§ 8-4-114.1.6. Applicants.

  • Any person may apply for a residential home improvement contractor license provided the applicant meets the following requirements:

    1.

    Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

    2.

    An applicant for the residential home improvement contractor license must pass the residential home improvement contractor examination described in section 112.1.7 and 112.1.8.

    3.

    Applicant must have and maintain an established place of business to receive complaints from the department of inspection and code enforcement (or other persons concerned) during regular business hours.

    4.

    An applicant must carry statutory amounts of Workman's Compensation Insurance and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) of public liability insurance and shall furnish certificates of insurance evidencing said coverage prior to initial issuance and all renewals of their residential home improvement contractor license.
