§ 8-4-114.3. Louisiana State Contractor License required.

  • No person, firm, partnership, co-partnership, association, corporation or other organization or any combination thereof shall undertake, attempt or submit a bid or offer to construct, supervise, superintend, oversee, direct, or in any manner assume charge of the construction, alteration, repair, improvement, movement, demolition, putting up, tearing down, or furnishing labor, material or equipment and installing same for any building highway, road, railroad, sewer, grading, excavation, pipeline or public utility structure, project, development, improvement, or any other undertaking within the jurisdiction of this parish where the cost of same is fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or more unless such person, firm, partnership, co-partnership, association, corporation, or other organization, or combination thereof shall first have acquired a valid contractor's license from the State of Louisiana (when required by Title 37, Sections 2151—2163 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes).
