It shall be the duty of the department of fire, department of inspection and code
enforcement, and the health unit, through its duly authorized inspectors, to inspect
at regular intervals, not to exceed three (3) months, or such shorter period as may
be deemed necessary by the departments, and without previous notice, all board and
care homes subject to the provisions of this article. The departments shall also develop
and facilitate coordination with other authorized state and federal agencies making
inspections of such facilities.
