§ 13-11. Commercial use of pyrotechnics and flame effects.

  • (a)

    All commercial use of pyrotechnics and/or flame effects must be permitted prior to use.

    (b)

    Permit must be obtained from the office of fire services prior to a commercial use of pyrotechnics and/or flame effects.

    (c)

    The following must be submitted to the office of fire services in order to obtain a permit for the commercial use of pyrotechnics and/or flame effects:

    (1)

    Completed, notarized application with a valid copy of the applicant's commercial pyrotechnics license.

    (2)

    One million dollar ($1,000,000.00) certificate of insurance that names the Parish of Jefferson and all departments and districts under the direction of the Jefferson Parish President and the Jefferson Parish Council as an additional insured.

    (d)

    All commercial use of pyrotechnics and/or flame effects must have approved standby fire personnel present during use.

    (e)

    Commercial use of pyrotechnics and/or flame effects shall follow and adhere to all applicable Jefferson Parish, State and Federal laws and regulations governing such use.
