§ 20-64. Minors prohibited from riverboat casinos.

  • (a)

    No person under the age of twenty-one (21) years shall enter, attempt to enter or be present in the licensed gaming premises of any riverboat casino within the unincorporated area of Jefferson Parish.

    (b)

    No person under the age of twenty-one (21) years shall gain entry to attempt to gain entry to the licensed gaming premises of any riverboat casino docked in the unincorporated area of Jefferson Parish by presenting or offering to any employee or agent of the riverboat or by otherwise using any fake or fraudulent driver's license or other identification card, or any other fake or fraudulent written, printed or photostatic evidence which misrepresents the age or identification of the person presenting, offering or using such license, card or other evidence, including the use of a driver's license or other identification card belonging to a person other than the person in possession of such license or card.

    (c)

    Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the otherwise lawful entry upon premises owned or occupied by a licensed riverboat casino of any employee of said riverboat casino.

    (d)

    Whoever violates the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, within the discretion of the court.
