§ 23-205. Definitions.

  • As used in this division, the following words and terms shall have the meanings hereinafter set forth:

    Judge means a judge of the First Parish Court or the Second Parish Court for the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana.

    Judge of a court of record means a judge/magistrate from whose judgements, appeals or writs are taken to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana or the Twenty-Fourth Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana.

    Military service includes time served in the army, navy or air force of the United States of America from which the judge has received an honorable discharge.
