Division 30. INSURANCE ADVISORY AND COORDINATING COMMITTEE |
§ 2-875.6. Duties and functions.
The insurance advisory and coordinating committee shall have the following duties and functions:
(1)
To coordinate the activities of the administration, and the insurance agent for the parish involving the insurance program for Jefferson Parish;
(2)
To recommend to the council any actions necessary for the efficient and effective administration of an insurance program for the Parish of Jefferson;
(3)
To recommend priorities regarding the purchase of any insurance by the Parish of Jefferson;
(4)
To consult with the parish insurance agent, other insurance agents and other interested parties and make a recommendation to the council whenever the need arises regarding the purchase of any insurance by the Parish of Jefferson;
(5)
To review and advise the parish council and the administration regarding any facet of the insurance program.
