§ 2-891. Established.

(a)

There is hereby established a uniform set of procedures for the purchase of labor, materials, supplies, equipment, services and public works by the purchasing department for all departments of the parish as provided in this division.

(b)

The following special districts are exempt from the Jefferson Parish procurement procedures:

(1)

The Jefferson Parish Communication District;

(2)

Jefferson Parish Hospital Service District No. 2;

(3)

Jefferson Parish Economic Development and Port District (JEDCO).
