§ 2-917. Pre-placed emergency contracts.
(a)
All pre-placed emergency contracts shall be advertised no later than March 31st and shall be presented for approval by the Jefferson Parish Council prior to May 1st. If a new contract has not been executed by May 1st, the existing contract shall automatically extend until the end of the calendar year.
(b)
All bid specifications and request for proposals shall include the language necessary for this section to be effective.
(c)
For purposes of this section, "pre-placed emergency contracts" shall mean contracts for emergency materials, supplies or services that are executed prior to the occurrence of an emergency.
(d)
The council, at its discretion, may, by resolution, authorize a request for proposal and/or bid solicitation for a pre-placed emergency contract to be advertised during the prohibited time period described in section (a) above.
