§ 2-951. Authority.

  • Whenever the parish president and/or the parish council determines that any real estate owned by the parish or by any special district or agency administered by the parish or by the public and administered by the parish is no longer needed for public use, such property may be sold, exchanged or otherwise disposed of by the parish council authorizing the sale or exchange or other disposition of the property in conformity with any of the powers, rights, privileges and authority whenever vested in parishes, parish governments, parish officers and police juries by the constitution and laws of the state and the Charter of the parish.
