§ 36-3. Reckless, careless operation of vehicles prohibited.

  • (a)

    Reckless operation of a vehicle is the operation of any motor vehicle in a criminally negligent or reckless manner.

    (b)

    Careless operation of a motor vehicle is the operation of any motor vehicle in a criminally negligent and careless manner.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle upon any canal servitude, levee or levee right-of-way, public drainage servitude, neutral ground or median within the parish in a reckless and careless manner.

    (d)

    Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be punished as set forth in section 1-10 of this Code.
