§ 38-24. Display of driver authorization.

  • (a)

    Each driver shall legibly display either in the vehicle in a printed format readily visible to a person of average visual acuity sitting in the rear passenger seat or electronically on the passenger's mobile device during a VFH ride:

    (1)

    First name of the driver;

    (2)

    Recent photograph—not older than one (1) year—of the driver, which displays a facial representation of the driver and clearly identifies driver to passengers; and

    (3)

    Make, model, and license plate number of the vehicle with verification that the driver is authorized by the company to operate said vehicle.

    (b)

    No driver shall allow any other person to utilize said driver's display of driver authorization for the operation of a VFH; and no driver shall allow any other person to operate said driver's VFH, unless that person is likewise authorized to operate/drive said VFH.
