§ 5-4. Applicability.

(a)

All medical transportation vehicles, personnel and services in the parish shall be governed by the provisions of this chapter; and, except as otherwise provided, Article II, Division 1, sections 5-16 through 5-20 shall govern ambulance services and Division 2, sections 5-24 through 5-28 shall govern patient transfer services.

(b)

Nothing contained herein shall prevent or prohibit any ambulance, or ambulance service from performing nonemergency or noncritical transfers or any other similar function of patient transfer or transportation services.
