§ 19-19. Violations and penalties.

  • (a)

    Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished as provided in section 1-10.

    (b)

    In addition to the penalties provided in paragraph (a), any person, proprietary party, his representative or any person acting in concert with him or them who maintains or fails to abate a nuisance or prohibited activity or condition may be enjoined as provided by law, including, but not limited to, the injunctive relief or order of abatement provided for in this chapter.

    (c)

    The issuance of an injunction or order of abatement pursuant to this chapter may be petitioned for by the following:

    (1)

    The Parish of Jefferson, or any proper officer thereof or, their duly authorized representative;

    (2)

    Any adjacent or neighboring property owner who is especially damaged by such violation; or

    (3)

    Any ten (10) residents of the election precinct wherein the violation exists.
