§ 22-130. Deceptive practices prohibited.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person or organization, solicitor or agent therefor, to solicit funds from anyone in Jefferson Parish using fraudulent or false information.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person, organization, solicitor or agent therefor, to engage in unfair or deceptive practices or misrepresentations regarding the purposes for which funds are being solicited.

(c)

Any person or organization, solicitor or agent therefor who violates the provisions of this section shall be punished as set forth in section 1-10 of this Code and shall further be subject to civil suit, pursuant to section 1-11 of this Code.
