§ 2-903. Purchases between one thousand dollars and five thousand dollars.

Latest version.

For each purchase over one thousand dollars ($1,000.01) and not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) at least three (3) telephone quotes by the purchasing division shall be obtained when possible. The date, vendor's name, person contacted and the prices quoted shall become a permanent part of the transaction record. Prices shall not be shopped by departments.
